OK, shall I email them? Are we going for 1 night or 2?

Edit: I just emailed them, they still have double rooms available.
I don't mind putting it on my credit card if you like.

I'll arrive on the 3rd because I am a "I-WANT-THE-BARRIER" type of fan. So I think 2 nights will be fine.

Are they taking the money from your card or your card number is just a guarantee and we'll pay in person?

In the first case, I'll pay you back by paypal as soon as I know the total amount !

Yes to barrier!
I don't know, I haven't given them my card mumber yet as I didn't know how many nights. I'll email back to check.

Edit: OK, I just have to give my card details to secure the booking, we can pay when we get there.
It's € 91.00 a night. So shall I go ahead and confirm it?

Seriously, how much do we rule?

Update: room reserved for the 3rd and 4th, and the guy says the train station is 400 m from the hotel. We have to check in before 7pm.

Now I just need to tell my husband about this!

The distance between Lokeren and Antwerp is about 40 km (25 miles). You could go by train (30 minutes - last train from Lokeren to Antwerp: 23:25)

Bought my tickets today, 300 kilometers from my house, not that far !
It will be my first manics gig since Paris 1999 ( last date in France ), and the first one for my wife ! It is more and more difficult to be patient...

Does anybody know how big the festival is? I've read some reviews and people are claiming it is Reading-ish, REALLY?

Okaaay. It looks big. And look, there are weird pens. We need to find out if general admission gets us into the front pen.

Its really not that big! Only one stage, 3 or 4 performances a day. There's no camping, and it's in the centre of the (small) city Lokeren. The whole city is packed then, and there a lot of activities in the city centre then. You can only enter the festivalsite at 5 or 6 pm. But, its very cosy and veryyyy cheap! You'll love it!

And you'll get to the front WITHOUT any problem, I assure you. No need to queue!

They started as a very small festival in '75 but since the end of the '90s they became bigger and bigger. Maximum capacity is 15.000 people.

Oh, good, thanks for this info. I'm really looking forward to this.

However, there's no way I'm going all that way and risking not being on the barrier, so queuing will definitely be taking place!

And 15,000 capacity does sound quite small actually, if you compare to Reading which has an 80,000 capacity. Can't wait!
