It needed dropping. It was taking the place of a song that some thought actually went into.

Its not very good but it does contain Indian Summer which is in my top 10 of Manic songs, its a thousand times better than PFAYM though and after listening to it countless times I still don't here anything wrong with the Underdogs edit.

"Coming home in dribs and drabs"

"Oh baby what you done to your hair?"

"I need an angel from above"

"For tomorrow I will beg, steal and borrow"

It's as if Nicky borrowed Noel Gallagher for a few jam sessions.

I think two of those lines are fine, and one of the others isn't terrible. Richey-esque lyrics wouldn't have fitted the album's style.

Despite moaning at length about the edit, I've never hated Underdogs. And actually even the instumental of Autumnsong (probably my least favourite Manics single, and least favourite original track on the album) is quite nice too once you get past the intro's squealy guitar, IMHO.

I can't believe it's been 5 years! It's also was my first album of them and since them I become a massive fan of the Manics

No Oasis song I know of contains the words 'dribs and drabs'!

It's a fun album (for the Manics! ).

We played every song as naturally as we could.

Whenever we've played a song we haven't tried to delineate or deconstruct it, we've tried to let the songs be.
You (badly) copy and pasted the same take of choruses into songs, that's what you did, JaDeBra!

SATT: Try to forget but never forgive.

I was very exctied about it when it came out, loved it overall, loved the tour, loved the amount of radio and TV slots the band were getting and new fans, it was a great period. Seems fashionable now for Manics fans to slag off and hate SATT for whatever reason. I still think it's a good album, the whole SATT 2007 era brings back a lot of memories for me personally, some good and some not at all.
