Four years is pretty standard between albums these days - in fact, bands who've been around for 30+ years often leave longer gaps. Throw in the studio move and it's really nothing to worry about.

True, true. We were somewhat spoilt by the double album of Rewind The Film/Futurology being released so close to each other.

It's just... new material is very moreish.

Oh definitely, we're hugely spoiled with the amount of music they release. Plenty of my favourite bands have put out one or two albums in the last ten years. The Manics have put out four and a couple of albums worth of b-sides.

There's an interview from the Q awards in this month's Q magazine where JDB and Nicky are both sounding optimistic about the new album, which suggests the NME and BBC scare stories took Nicky's words at the exact same event out of context a bit.
