Thanks for the link to the pics. Nice to know there's some strings in there somewhere. Surprised on song titles have been thrown about yet or any photos of the guys working in the studio or something

Of course there's strings, every song is aimed at being Design for Life 2.

It's gonna be MEGA! (As James would say! ) I like that overblown stuff like Aerosmith so doesn't bother me if it sounds like them or not. As long as James is on full throttle vocally and it's joyous as they've been saying it will be then I'll be very happy.

No, Lifeblood was THB (with synths) for 35 year olds.

SATT was a dumbed down, poppy GATS.

I'm hoping Nicky was mistaken and actually meant to say Aereogramme.

I'm not liking the sound of things immensely, as it does indeed sound like SATT 2: Return To Glossy Rock.

But I'm still excited at the thought of a new album, and comforted by the knowledge that - as mentioned - no album has ever sounded like the reference points Nicky inevitably comes out with mid-recording.

Maybe also James in Cardiff in 2006, now lost in the fog of memory....

They're past mid-recording now, though?

Some 'potential' song titles have been revealed - Golden Platitudes and A Billion Balconies Facing the Sun. Hopefully with Wire speaking to Xfm there'll be a substantial build up of information for the album soon.

I'm still holding out for Jeff Lynne to produce! (Might be pretty much near completion now but I can dream!)
