As someone pointed out it only on two sides, i can pretty much say that will sound absolutely shite, 65 mins as well fuck me, even the best needles will struggle to make it sound half decent and at that price get fucked.

Should be 4 sides min, 6 for a album like Know You're Enemy.

This is essentially exactly the same as the original then? So why am I probably still going to buy it? Mug.

It should do, but probably not much without splitting the vinyl into 2. Still feel like I need it. Damn the collector within.

well, if you are basing that on the amazon listing, a touch misleading. they don't seem to have any info yet and have just a generic entry for it. wait and see, might be something even more special than just a superb album?

yep, short version - heavier / thicker the vinyl, the better the quality pressing. will allow a boffin to give the longer version.

Never noticed this until now. It's one of those fucking annoying things where I don't even particularly like KYE but the vinyl geek in me really wants this! Oddly, am less bothered about the prospect of EMG.

I believe it's to do with the thicker vinyl taking a better imprint from the pressing. Much like a footprint in thick snow, as opposed to thin snow. Thick lasts better as it won't bend/wobble causing scratches & as won't bend sits flatter on the player. Whilst a thick vinyl makes a good mastering job sound better; it also shows up the flaws in a bad master (especially noticable if the recording wasn't mastered for vinyl) Something I read the other day, which I didn't know, is that the black colouring used in vinyl attracts dust. So the latest thing is that coloured (i.e. non black) vinyl sounds better with clear being the best. It is hard to do a comparison as usually the 180g reissues have been remastered for vinyl, so they are going to sound better than the original pressings anyway.
