My niece who's 20 and usually likes music like N Dubz etc, texted me yesterday to say she likes their stuff at the moment, having heard it on the radio...so it must have mainstream appeal!

Excellent choice of single! And the b-sides will be ace as always!

It's got that empty dreary power ballad quality which would suit the X Factor perfectly. With the release date in mind, maybe they could get themselves on there for the mentors stage. Wagner could sing Mac's parts, maybe with Treyc on backing. Then they'd be a shoe in for number one. Perfect.

No way is it a 'dreary power ballad'! I've not had a very good day so don't get me started!

No, that won't happen! It just can't!! Well, if it did, that would be the end of my long love affair with MSP.

The Manics would never go on X Factor. I hope.

It is if you are only looking for a reaction.

Well yeah we know the names but I want to know the exact tracklists etc, plus other info like the cover images and so forth. Plus I doubt "Something Else New?" is a name of a song!

Excellent news. I don't think it'll go down too well but great news that we'll be getting a few new B Sides.

I'd love to think so. Like we said before, mobilise the Bunnymen masses as well and we might have a hit on our hands.
