well i am bitterly disappointed, i'm reripping all my CDs to FLAC and it turns out because of the crap way the CDs are held in the boxset both CD2 and CD3 are cracked and CD2 is unusable

^ That appears to be a common problem . I just checked mine after a couple of years and thankfully doesn't seem to be cracked, I was worried about it.

Uh oh, just checked mine. CD2 has a couple of small cracks starting at the centre that don't get anywhere near the actual disc yet, whether they will I don't know, hope not. Rest are fine though, I've noticed a few people moaning about them..

the DVD has a few small cracks as well but i think is still usable. This is only the second time the discs have ever been out the box as well.

What was it, 3000 copies? At this rate decent copies will be as rare as Suicide Alley before long. I really like the packaging to look at, but surely there's a way to get around it damaging the cds?

That said, I like the deluxe editions of last few albums too but I do worry about playing them too much and maybe scratching them on the card when you put it back in the case.

Just checked mine. CD 3, the hardest one to replace, has a crack. I'm going to make a copy of this CD just in case it gets worse and then store the discs in separate cases.

I'm not too surprised actually because how tightly and awkwardly these discs have been packed.

Hope that the THB boxset isn't packaged the same way then. If so I'll be making copies on the day of reciept.

LMAO. None of my discs were cracked, then the DVD cracked when I put it back.

If you manage to get them out unharmed, I suggest you store them somewhere else...

I think you should still be able to.

Is it safer to leave them in or take them out? :O

Also, the fucking stupid way they packaged it means the print is bent.

Best thing is take them out VERY FUCKING CAREFULLY!!!!! and NEVER EVER put them in again properly. (I had the first box replaced immediately, as the CDs were unusable ON DELIVERY).

Print will straighten itself rather nicely if left outside the box, the paper is good quality at least. At least it worked with mine, and the spare I had (from the damaged on receipt box) made a friend very happy.

I managed to get a refund of half the boxset a few months ago because one of my discs was cracked.

Relieved to see it wasn't me being a fat handed twat and that it was actually the packaging that was crap.
