postcards from a young man run chart
I know the first five weeks. But, has somebody more information? does somebody know how is actually?
The run chart is #3 #11 #22 #40 #61 ... |

If it was at #61 by the 5th week I doubt it charted during the 6th. Might be wrong though.

oh what a pity. the commercial success failed. I think some kind must do top 5 but in these times nothing is predecible. The song is the best that the manics have done.

the video of SKON is one of the best for me. I donīt know why people think that is bad. The final part with james in the beach singing the song is impressive.

The song is okay, much better live with just James singing and the video just doesn't do it for me.

I think at best, Some Kind Of Nothingness will chart somewhere between 20 and 40. However, fuck the charts, I'd say it's a bonus charting well.

Beaches in videos = good. Rest of video = bad.

At least they're not Nadine 'ok, maybe I'll stay in Girls Aloud after all' Coyle.
Lifeblood puts the performance of her album to shame. |

And that's the thing - she has a higher profile than MSP and fails. With a few different decisions Postcards could've gained more sales, but it's been a pretty decent shot at mass communication taking into account how the charts are in a different state than back in 2007 and back.

In all fairness everyone who is a fan of the Beatles will have some/all of their albums and or / compilations on CD so if they want them on something portial like an MP3 player they'll just do it themselves like I've done with my Ippod, I've never downloaded one single song for it ever, so can't see people downloading a song they have a few times already, I certainly won't.
Any way, I believe Postcards will re-enter the top 100 when SKON is released as I think a few places will promote the album given that there's another single out and they'll pu tthe price down abit.

I think that the thought of Some Kind of Nothingness resurrecting Postcards is deluded. In my opinion, the album stunk and so it sunk and you know what, it's not more than the manics deserve for trying to produce what they eloquently termed 'one last shot mass communication' and i'd term a cynical attempt to shift units by appealing to the blandest of the bland, lowest common denominator peons, instead of a solid, inspired album, one that was inspired and real rather than strategically planned for maximum saturation .

Diasagree with the above statement. Sometimes you capture mass appeal, sometimes you don't. That's how it goes. Doesn't stop the album being ace!
