Photobucket problems etc, but on the Delirium on Helium Facebook group there's a shot of the album on sale in HMV... On the TOP LEFT of the shelf! With other acts to it's right and below. Above EIE are what looks like vinyl for other acts.
So encouraging but no complacency now.

My album came today thankfully. I like it overall. Quite a few instrumentals, I think I've counted 3? Good album overall, will play it a few more times through today to let it grow on me. On the last song, I assume the static or scratching effect is deliberate to make it sound like a really old record? Or my CD is just messed up!

Have the album! Had to replay Thirty Thousand Milk Bottles twice!
Tried listening on headphones and my hearing is giving the bass this growl.
So listening without headphones and no, my speakers are buggered! So playing it loud.
Under The Mimosa Tree is mid period Soft Machine covering ADFL and there couldn't be anything wrong about such a thing!
If I hear the tracks on YouTube with headphones it sounds better of course.

EDIT: on second relisted. I love From The Hands Of Violeta and Without Knowing The End (Joan's Song) has Radio 1 Breakfast Show written all over it.
Whereas TGW left you feeling excited by a James solo album, this is more staggered by a James solo album. And you can still see, but not be bothered, by the gaps Nicky or Sean would have filled.

I guess that signing a stack of vinyls / inserts is a long process and he started it...
“WITHOUT KNOWING THE END!”

(sorry).

got stuck on the M6 for 90 minutes yesterday so had two full run throughs.

Without Knowing The End (Joan's Song) stood out for me - sounds like a KYE track / b-side that I can't quite place at the minute... The Year of Purification maybe?

Considering both songs sound very similar to REM tracks from the same album, you're on the right track.

Disappointing.
I did think of all the stations 6 music would have been all over it but seems they've given it a hard pass, such a shame. James is on radcliffe and maconie tomorrow though, at a time of the morning fewer will likely hear it since they shifted all the schedules around and shunted the better shows like this and lauren laverne to earlier timeslots.

The guitars sound very McCarthy-esq on WITHOUT KNOWING THE END (JOAN'S SONG). Love it!

After listening 15 times (and I tried not to skip any song because of a concept album) I can say honestly this is great record. I can feel every part and concept of lyrics based on life Victor Jara. Using spanish guitar, experimental guitars, keyboards give very fresh and broaing sound. Best effort since Futurology.
