Did he produce all of the album? I thought he just worked on certain tracks with them. Anyway yeah I remember them. They were alright. But just alright.

JDB also did the backing vocals on the only Northen Uproar song anyone remembers, Rollercoaster. Before I knew this I thought the backing vocals on Rollercoaster made the song a bit cacky

He helped produce the first album with Dave Eringa, but the second album had no JDB involvement.
Not a bad band at all. Can't find much trace of them on tinternet though.

Amazingly the singer of Northern Uproar is a hairdresser now!

he also sings backup vocals on T'Uproar's second single, From a Window. There's a "karoake" version that removes the lead vocals and you can prominently hears James backing vocals. I've uploaded it in S&V a few times.

I've got a vague memory of seeing them support Weller sometime back in the nineties, they were OK. I could be wrong.

Produced by Dave Eringa Except "From a Window", "Rough Boy", "Town", "Memories", "Rollercoaster" produced by Dave Eringa and James Dean Bradfield On the second album, Eringa did it all alone except two tracks assisted by Mike Hedges.

i remember reading an interview with T'Uproar that when they were recording, while their producer was sleeping, they put his hand in warm water to see if he'd wet himself. (well, they were a bunch of kids, y'know?) i wonder if they were talking about James or Dave Eringa.

I remember buying 'Rollercoaster' in the days when I'd buy anything with a Manics collection. Good band name, records less good. They were to Oasis what the The High were to the Stone Roses. |
