Everything Must Go is further down the pecking order for me but yeah, I'm another one who puts Holy Bible number one. 2nd and 3rd are either Journal For Plague Lovers or This Is My Truth. 4th-6th are great but, they're Man U, Arsenal and Chelsea. The last album was probably Leeds.

But yeah, This Is My Truth and Journal For Plague Lovers - incomparable really, aren't they?

By sales and cultural impact, I've got the feeling that, objectively, Truth would be "the 3rd album". Which would also make sense to be the rappresentative one alongside the other two. It's like, displaying the variety of the Manics overall repertoire.

As for my personal top 3, I really cannot give an answer.
It all varies and heavily depends on my mood, and my age, as I've been a fan since I was 11 and now I'll be 30 in August. ♥

Gold Against The Soul - I love the songs and the album hasn't been mentioned.

Though I'm sure there will be the usual cowardly trolling comments.

Generation futurology send postcards....

And they all hope I'm feeling well

I can honestly say Generation Terrorists is my favourite. Not sure if that makes it the best, but I reckon if you go through previous "rank the albums in order of preference" and average out the scores then GT will come out third.

So yeh, EMG/THB joint 1st for me... tough choice for 3rd... I would say it's a toss up between GATS (my most listened to MSP album), or Journal... TIMTTMY is not far behind, side A is really strong, side B not so much (save for Nobody Loved You..so good)

Quite a few contenders, speaks to the overall quality of their catalogue really. But for me it would be 'Futurology'; almost 5 years later (good god, how did 5 years go by that fast) and it sounds as vital as it did that magical summer of 2014. I recall coming home from the HolyBible December 2014 gig in Dublin, they played some of Futurology (including 'Dreaming a City'), and I listened to Futurology 2 and a half times post-gig and pre-sleep^ It was that good. I put it on this week and marvelled how well written and vibrant the songs are.

I'm also in the EMG & Holy Bible as being the best two camp. I think their third best album is TIMT. I think the songwriting is a notch above the other contenders.

Glad to see Journal to be most picked. It's the No.3 for me too. But the difference between the first two and Journal is big.
