Always been a fan of the song and enjoyed some of SEB's stuff for what it is.
I'm sure they've appeared on the same bill a few times in recent years but nothing has come about... although there are often complicated logistics involved. I can't remember the Manics really discussing the song or Sophie since it originally came about, although she mentioned it in a NME interview thing five years ago and sounded pretty positive about it. https://www.nme.com/features/music-i...bextor-2403298 |

I love the song. Not sure how it'd sound live if it ever happened, but I don't know if James could sing it like he did on the recording. I'm going to blast it out right now!

I'm pretty sure I've already suggested this elsewhere Would be awesome if they sang it together tho! Now how do we go about making this happen?

Would be great if it happened but probably unlikely. Come on Soph! Make it so!

Always thought it was a nice rocker. It really really does remind me of the late 90s. I'd kill to go back there again.
But never thought it was any better than a Socialist Serenade, Montana/Autumn/72, Just a Kid type level of Manics song. Great times though. Really sorry to the girl who was coming on to me at the Dublin gig at The Point in 1999 and I was completely clueless. And the other girl at Smithfield's in 2001. My best mate even left us to it and I had no idea. I was so innocent back in those days! Ha! |
