I'm sick of it already. Doubt I'll be buying it unfortunately.

Couldn't have hoped for a better choice for a single, best track of the album in my opinion.

Of all the songs on the album that would be the best one for a second single

I don't know why so many hate it so much, it's a lovely tribute to a, by all accounts, lovely man. What amazes me is that it is the first such tribute, I bet Nicky really, really wishes he'd written it.

Great - I love it. An excellent choice for single.

An English Gentleman is a tribute to the late Philip Hall, their manager.

That makes a lot more sense.

That's the same day Nicky's album is out. The Battle of the Manics starts here!

In all seriousness, this is probably Sony thinking that by releasing the two on the same day they will increase sales of both. But in reality, it just distorts the boundaries between the solo projects, and James' single would have been better served being released in the middle of his tour.

I think its a good choice of single. Its quite different to TNWTTAL and is still quite an upbeat track. Whether it will do any better than the 1st single is another question - probably not! But I'm looking forward to hearing some new b-sides
