you seem to have given a wap link - is this the one you mean?

£27.00? depends how badly you want it in your collection. this article on Wiki suggests that there never was a "re-issue" and thus would be a bootleg, although the artwork on ebay doesn't look like the fakes they warn against.

Ha! I bid on that on Sunday. Apparently my offer of £3 wasn't going to cut it...

One of a limited edition of 480? Definitely a bootleg. Although the seller's pasted in the wikipedia entry for the single that clearly says that there were only 300 originals.

There are some dodgy coloured vinyl ones about too, I had to email one bidder a few years ago because they were bidding £100's for one, couldn't sit there and let them part with that much for something that's barely worth a couple of quid.

It's obviously one of the bootleg copies. The band's name is underlined on the front cover and there's the "299/480" written on the back cover. Both aren't on the original.
I bought one of the bootlegs for no more than $20 (about 12.60 pounds, give or take a bit) about 7 1/2 years ago.

Exactly the same - it's a bootleg.

Must've picked up mine around the same time as richeysite, and got the red and black vinyl for around £15 all-in. Decent bootlegs though but not worth loads of money.

oh fuck, i was going to say is there any way to warn the buyer they are spunking up a fortune on a bootleg but i see the auction is closed.

who knows, perhaps the bootleg editions are worth that much?

for all we know, it's Nicky who has bought it anyway, knowing his love of the internet.

There was a time a few years ago when ebay was full of bootleg copies, a lot of them on coloured vinyl. I'm sure I saw a genuine copy on EIL for £750!

I guess if it's not clear it's not an original someone should contact ebay. You can message the top buyer though presumably.

The listing does clearly say it's a re-issue so the buyer wouldn't have a leg to stand on now.

Bet the seller will be laughing all the way to the bank.

Has the bootleg been bootlegged? Thought the numbered one was supposed to be limited to 480 or something like that, I swear I've seen it on ebay about a thousand times.

I've seen bootlegs of Suicide Alley which aren't numbered, so quite possibly, like UK Channel Boredom where there are an unknown number of bootleg copies.
