Manics fans of The Damned?

I'm obsessed with The Damned all over again ATM, having seen them last weekend, and the more footage I see of Captain Sensible the more I think our Nick has been pretty 'inspired' by him. Although they're criminally under-appreciated I'm sure the boys must be fans of theirs, can anyone remember any examples of them saying so?

They're part of the original punk unholy trinity, after all.
