@ non-UK fans: do you feel ignored?
I think it's quite a serious issue to be honest, the latest example being obviously the ticket presale. But there were many other occasions when we were ignored / let down / excluded.
Let's share our experience!

Ticket presale could have been open for non-UK residents, I can't see the problem with that.
But on the other side: tickets won't sell out quickly. Only 17000 views on the youtube so far for the album teaser, of which probably 400 of me It means nobody seems to care, so tickets won't sell out that soon.

Not really. They do play in Denmark quite often for a British band...

I get it must be frustrating to feel like you're ignored, but to be fair they're a UK band who made their name in the UK and live in the UK, and maybe have more fans in the UK than in the rest of the world so it stands to reason that they'll focus on the UK. Whatever the band does and wherever, it's got to be viable, and the last couple of US tours were done at a loss out of their own pockets. Not sure too many other bands would do summat like that.
Whoever the hell has been behind the decision that pre-sale was for UK customers only, I have no idea why they came to that. Pretty sure the band for the most part don't give a shit where any of us are from, and probably even feel a bit of pride and love when they see someone wearing a US tour t-shirt rocking up at Llandudno, or someone wearing a UK tour t-shirt in Japan or whatever.

It’s clearly a legal issue. Pre-sales be it for tickets or albums are about getting our data. The fact that the tickets were non-purchase necessary with regards to the album and you just had to input your info confirms this. All about the contact details and no doubt selling them on.

I think they played Europe more often than Northern Ireland these days, can't remember the last time I saw a listing for Belfast around here.

Ignored is too strong a description, but I am definitely resigned to them touring neighbouring countries (Denmark, Sweden, Finland) but not the one I happen to live in (Norway).

And what about their youtube videos?
It was mentioned before that a lot of ManicStPreachersVEVO videos are blocked in Canada (and the US I think?). It's something trivial, but still annoying. They focus on the UK because they have more fans there, but because they focus on the UK, they have fewer and fewer fans elsewhere...

I mentioned that in another thread, usagainstyou. I wanted to share a Tolerate video with a few folks and used the Jools Holland live one. The original does not work in Canada.

As it was mentioned, they are a UK band, so they care more for their UK fans. However, in albums like TIMTTMY and EMG they had european success so they have played also in EU (see EMG tour last year). I expect a TIMTTMY anniversary tour in autumn 2018, so EU will get its chance to see them. For the new album, I predict EU summer festival appearances. As far as I'm concerned, I bought a ticket for the Manchester gig!!!

All bands concentrate their efforts where they're most popular. No one is being ignored it's just the way it is.. they play festivals to reach as many people as possible .. a US/Canada tour would be very expensive.

There can't be many bands who've been as big as Manics have in the UK and got nowhere over the pond. Don't think it's for lack of effort really, Generation Terrorists and Holy Bible were both fucked about with for the North American market, there were tours for Generation Terrorists, Everything Must Go and This Is My Truth, would've been one for Holy Bible. Just didn't work out for them. I thought Sean lived in Bristol?
