Thanks for the review oliver. I am going to the Melbourne show and am so excited. I'm just wondering though, when James said they'd never come back what kind of context was it in? I mean, i wouldn't be surprised if it is the last time Australia gets the Manics what with years & years in between tours and the advanced stage of their career but did he seem serious or jokey?
And i dunno how anyone can judge a gig from the photos above. Great photos but still, hardly an indication. But, 'tis all cool. Australia has the Manics all to itself for the next week or so, so take that the rest of the world !

I thought when James said they weren't coming back he was referring to them not coming back for an encore, as he said they are a band that 'blows their load then goes to sleep'. Interesting way of putting it..

Oh James, wish he'd think of some new 'jokes'. That one really hasn't become funny with repetition.

The gig looked great though, I'm quite surprised with the mental mosh pit reception!

I'm glad that everyone had a great time! It's nice to see that the band are putting in a real effort down under, despite being jetlagged to hell.

Ah, that would make a lot more sense than saying they'd never come back to Australia / Brisbane.

Why? Aussie and NZ manics fans have waited years to see the band so i doubt the band would feel hassled by them wanting to go back to say hello and have a photo taken. In fact i'm sure they'd welcome it considering the pathetic amount of times they've toured down under.
