I think this song sounds like a Kasabian Rap, gwha... For me the only that's worth here is the musical arrangement

It's hilarious and I love it for some reason.

Yes. Sounds like the worst parts of Gold Against the Soul with SATT production.

Sorry :/

I guess it's my quota of 'Nicky Wire yelling stupid shit' because that's what gives me life.

I do like this! Another song with an actual bridge! More than just the verse-chorus-verse

Listened to it again a few times this morning and it seems massively out of place, compared to the other songs I've heard. Think a few reviews alluded to this as well. I think it would have sat well on Postcards, for example but certainly not this album. Although, I think in fairness a couple of other songs could have been "beefed" up to the same standard as this one.

I totally, 100%, with that. The song is fun if jarring given the sound of the album.

I dunno, I think it works, like This is Yesterday on THB and Removables on EMG, a nice change in texture, keeps things interesting.

However both TIY and Removables kept to the style of the album in more ways than what SPLAM does.

it's not going to be entering into the rock and roll hall of fame but as something to pogo around to after half a dozen Grolsch it's got potential.

You must admit though, SPLAM is one of the great Manics song acronyms.

Try it instead of the real words in the chorus:

SPLAM! ... SPLAMSPLAM, SPLAM and SPLAMSPLAM.
