JFPL songs?

Unsure if this deserved its own thread, but what the hell.

Given that the THB tour will be a celebration of all things Richey and THB, what are the chances of a few JFPL songs? I know they did that album in full then, but it would tie in quite nicely, I reckon. I also would really like to hear All Is Vanity live again.

Half chance of JCEQT or PA or something. I wouldn't put my house on it though.

Think it's probably unlikely. If they do a full 22-23 song set, we are only looking at 9-10 non thb songs and surely thats usually mostly hits.

I'd like to think this will be a non-hits/fans only tour... like Rough Trade was

I'd like to, but I doubt it. Can't see them not playing at least the 5 big ones.

The fact we're getting THB in full means we can't complain. I'd listen to a full set of Autumnsongs to get to THB.

Me too, obviously

I don't know though, it would be nice to have Peeled Apples or Jackie Collins thrown in, maybe Marlon JD. They are the only ones I could really imagine them playing.

The Journal sets were 28 songs, so I'm hoping for the same here.

Yeah, but HB is what 15 mins longer than journal? I'd suggest 23 is more likely.

I'd love to hear a few JFPL tracks on the tour.

Surely seeing as it's a series of gigs to celebrate "The Holy Bible" the band would be more inclined to satiate the faithful rather than pander to the casual.

No?

A non-hits gig would be fantastic, particularly if the band played the songs which they want to play most, rather than what they believe the fans want/expect. I think the second half will be hits though, not that I'm complaining! This is a great opportunity for them though to make it about them, make it personal and very special.

The JFPL gigs were absolutely amazing but it did feel a bit strange to go from such an intense set to bouncy hits. Ahhh such happy memories!

I think the problem is that they really do prefer the hits. They love ME, YLA, Tolerate, DFL. Jimbo has talked of his love for YSTS. The only one they've disowned publicly recently is MJ. Thank god.
