Manics tickets quite a bit more expensive than Busted or Jess Glynne, and a golden circle too. Not for me.

I personally had no idea it was one of those gigs price wise. Well that's a no in a "Zoincks!" shaped hole in the wall.
Damn my impulsive Manics related threads! I wonder if we'll have fights break out in the audience?
Well have a great time whoever goes and if this increases their audience and blah blah blah.
Despite flippancy of post if it gets streamed, this is the thread! On the day will be scouring links.

I've reluctantly bought two tickets for this in the hope that I'll be able to go. Potentially my first Manics gig in 5 years since Cardiff Castle. Much harder to get to gigs these days with my personal situation and I don't particularly care to see a reduced set with Suede, it's fairly close to Sheffield and on a weekend so why not. I'll probably end up selling the tickets knowing my luck...

Hope you get to go, FSOV.

This looks interesting and a beautiful place. The below interests me from their website, surely the Manics aren’t playing a 2.5hr setlist?!

- Event Gates open at 4pm and live music starts at approximately 7.30pm. The concert should finish 10-10.30pm.

Assume it'll be 1/2 support bands?

Yeah that probably makes sense… I did wonder but then expected a note to say something along those lines.

What do you mean expensive? There were tickets available for £14!!!

Tickets starting at £60 will go on general sale on Monday, February 26 from 10am with a pre-sale for Trentham members from Friday, February 23 at 10am. But Trentham are offering the first 14 people who can prove that they were in attendance at the 1998 concert to get their tickets for the original 1998 ticket price of just £14.

Or on the same day "Trentham Park Radio" got me to this one.
Manics are pictured in the corner. It does say "Radio" on the linked website.
Could be a potentially useful link on the night? https://www.6towns.co.uk/loud-and-local/

Found an excellent short YouTube advert for their appearance. https://youtu.be/ms5p8e9RCv8?si=Mt1A2IG_cFAfVu6C
Jaw hit floor at song they used at the end.

This Saturday! Back to 21 song setlists?
The penultimate time they have to play the hits this year. And even then the September Radio 2 thing looks more condensed than Trentham Live.
Tomorrow will be four days to that 17th.
The hype has to be built it was my sodding thread I made!
Have a blast whoever got passed! Really should have gone to stand outside and listen but that area no telling who'd approach and ruin the buzz.

Does anybody miss the days when someone would text in the songs as they were played and someone sat at home would update the gig thread?

From Facebook pages James apparently sang and played guitar to a Public Service Broadcasting song.
Still nothing on the rest of the night. Even that radio show I linked a few pages ago doesn't have anything BLACK VELVET AND THAT LITTLE BOY SMILE.
Yeah, that was the only song I heard on that station. Hopefully YouTube over the next few days will have a drip drip dripping of badly recorded videos!
