Borderline ??  now that I gotta hear. I'll have a listen tomorrow

I recorded the concert on Sky tv radio, such an amazing setlist, some I haven't heard live before. The Borderline cover is quality and I like the Madonna version.

A very welcome airing of some KYE tracks (that aren't bloody Ocean Spray or Let Robeson Sing). I hope that continues. Methadone Pretty is pretty special too. I haven't heard the gig but I hope to after seeing that setlist.

Agreed. Also better when he's the only one singing too.

I actually managed to go in the end thanks to my friend who works there!
Absolutely unreal to see the boys in such a small venue and they sounded fantastic. FDTW, Methadone Pretty & a Madonna cover!!!
Both James and Nicky seemed to really enjoy themselves and James should play guitar by himself more often, he was amazing tonight.
The crowd were pretty awful but it just seemed to me to be a lot of industry people. Though there were a few shouty pointy people around. It was nice not to be pushed around and everything if I'm honest.
There were cameras and Huw said they were filming and it'll be shown on I think BBC 4 but I can't remember when he said.

Oh, awesome. I'd assumed it was one of those things they'd do, then sit on for weeks before releasing only the edited highlights.

They literally picked one of the worst Manics songs ever, not just on KYE to play live! I give up! We're never going to hear Intravenous Agnostic live. The only explanation I can think of is that most of the older songs he just can't sing (or at least do justice to) now given his reduced vocal range in recent years.

In the same way the TUVL tour grew over its length, I’d hope their KYE repertoire would as well

Video of at least one song confirmed https://youtu.be/TCWycGSJn-Y

Come on BBC!

Let’s not stop there. It’s time for an 80s covers album. I Wanna Dance With Somebody, Take on Me, Total Eclipse of the Heart, Karma Chameleon, Girls Just Want to Have Fun. All the good stuff.

That would be an incredible album.

Please let it happen.

Hopefully we will have full video footage soon

Gwenno has just announced she's tested positive for Covid. Hope she's okay and that the boys weren't too close to her last night!

Nice!

Seems as though it's just the last four songs of the set.

I seriously hope that's not all we get visually from it. I've downloaded the earlier St.David's Hall and as subdued as that was. It just makes a great counter to the footage uploaded.
When they eventually make that "The Manics At The BBC*" album, it's going to be incredible!

*=I've no proof they'll make one, but if they did etc.
