My order with CD Japan is showing as ‘in shipping process’ so I guess (well, hope), that those of us who have ordered with them will be receiving our orders very soon.

Dolby Atmos was introduced in 2012 and works with a 7.1 speaker setup, so you wouldn't get the full effect on a 2003 5.1 set up. Apple Music doesn't do physical discs, it's a streaming platform with offline download.

Did anyone get an email from Rough Trade saying their payment had failed?

but other than a 7.1 setup, do I need a Dolby Atmos decoder? I currently listen to my 5.1 dvd via my decoder, which decodes DD and DTS. Do I need another one for Atmos?

I would expect so, have only seen Atmos associated with Blu-Ray and Ultra HD Blu-Ray players.

Sad no one is bothering to rip CD's or Vinyls into MP3's anymore these days. The album is out there. A decade ago, we would be watching that Radiohead-forum for weeks or exchanging 'very confidential RAR-files'.

Was very surprised to see that AtEase shuttered a few years ago. FD seems to be bucking the trend where forums dedicated to bands with larger fanbases have been put against the wall.

I contacted the seller of the Japanese 2CD version of the album and asked if I could have a rip of the album if I paid a bit extra on top of the price for the CD. Answer was no but at least I gave it ago. Very annoying because there were a few copies for sale.

It is certainly rarer and rarer, presumably with streaming services and less people using MP3 players or buying CDs. I know a few people who have the album now but can't see them rushing to Kazaa to share it!

Recently I managed to find an MP3 rip of a vinyl released just last year, no CD or digital release that I'm aware of and not something that seems to be in much demand, so it was a surprise, some people out there are still doing them but it's definitely dwindling.

I just don’t have the set up to rip vinyl or CD’s anymore. And a lot of newer audio devices come with less outputs/inputs etc which tends to make it harder, or expensive & time consuming to find the right ones.
Admittedly my knowledge has fallen behind on the subject, so apologies if I sound like a tech dinosaur :lol:

Anyway, it was paid last month. Tomorrow is blue arsed fly day. Then everything up to the weekend is jumping at the sound of a telephone and creeping neighbours out by being seen staring out of the window but being too distant and obscured to make out anything distinctive.

Plus if everybody does a No Buy Friday then that's our economy well and truly fucked!
