Cool so my mate did see James Dean Bradfield :) Sheffield United never play football home or away. Its always physical, direct and usually includes bullying tactics. The time wasting today from the start today was a complete joke. Sheffield Wednesday are a true footballing team. Hope you return to the Championship :)

For some reason I 'heard' that in the voice of Marion from Mongrels.

i wouldn't if i were you, i work in a bin with windows.

he bought an ariel pinks album, not sure which one, never heard of them/him.
im a bit freaked out that i prolly saw him shopping for tat for the new video/tour.
as squee as it is to see him wandering about it does take a bit of the myth away for me, know what i mean?
still, i see lostprophets about all the time and dont give a fuck but if i see a manic it pretty much writes off my day as i fan myself back to reality

MarilynRoxie 13-08-2010 22:57

Ah probably the new Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti, Before Today. I've already liked them, glad to know he's into that. :D

sparklytiara 18-08-2010 17:55

sparklytiara 18-08-2010 18:47

was that a couple of days back though

Napoleon Bonaparte 18-08-2010 19:39

To be fair he didn't see them on the plane, one of the toilets had a sign on the door saying "This toilet is reserved for use by the Manic Street Preachers, please respect that".

lovesean4ever 18-08-2010 19:40

aye - and easyjet charge now don't forget ! :p

better to use easyjets than ryanairs, they want to remove one of the toilets and make them payable.

lovesean4ever 18-08-2010 19:45

that must be what I was thinking of. As you were...

bristarman 18-08-2010 19:57

That funny as I was thinking about the Billy Bragg-private toilet incident earlier!

James obviously has it down to a fine art these days!

staybeautiful92 22-08-2010 17:34

i saw james going into the sheperds bush empire in 2007. sorry for the lateness i've just really seen this thread.

franny 22-08-2010 19:04

Who was on at the time?

staybeautiful92 22-08-2010 23:35

they were haha. it was during the day maybe about 10-11 in the morning

chieftan mews 16-09-2010 13:38

met Nicky wandering around near Oxford Circus yesterday.
had a quick chat.

he was very lovely.

Beat Poet 16-09-2010 14:11

If you happen to pass one of them in the street, what on earth do you say, "alright James, how's it going?".

franny 16-09-2010 15:06

I was considering that, do you ask if it's them despite knowing it is or go straight in with 'hey james', do you start talking or do you explain that you're a fan and introduce yourself. It's easier after gigs when they know why you're there.

deadmartyr 16-09-2010 17:11

In my head, I keep thinking I'd greet James with a "Hey Jimbo!", but I don't think he'd like being called that.

jack_duckworth 25-09-2010 15:42

rah, i had an aceface morning!
a colleague spotted james wandering about so i waited around the tills for him;

me; can i trouble you for my annual autograph?!
jdb; *laughs* certainly
me; im surprised you didnt catch us playing it, we've had it on repeat all week, you're thrashing phil bloody collins!
jdb; *laughs* good! i do try not to go into record shops on week of release but i've been away doing promo and not been able to buy any bits for a while..
me; fair enough, thank you so much for that, really looking forward to the tour too.
jdb; oh yeah, you coming?
me; yes, doing a few dates, brum, bristol, newport, manc, maybe london etc.
jdb; oh i'll sort you guestlist for any of those. have you got tickets?
me; oh, thats really kind but you dont have to do that, i wasn't fishing for tickets.
jdb; its really no bother, newport ok?
me; well, YES PLEASE! shall i just write my name down or what?
jdb; hang on.. *rummages through pockets.....finds tatty old phone*...
me; *starts to spell name out*
jdb; *still pressing buttons and grumbling a bit* hang on, you'll have to give me a minute here, im no good with these things...... aaaarrrgghh...... for fuuuu... ah, got it. go on..
me; *spells out name while starting to shake a little* ok to get my wife in too? cant really leave her outside!
jdb; yup, i've put you +1. just go to the box office and give your name. hope you enjoy it. bye bye
me; of course i will! thank you so so much, thats really kind of you, you've made my day

he looked really good too, really healthy and a little bit of a tan.
dunno where he got that.
i was shaking so much he must've noticed. i usually just get a signature and say thanks but when he was fiddling with his phone it felt like an age and i became very aware of my legs turning to jelly.
what a bloody nice man

franny 25-09-2010 15:44

Tob bloke that Jimbo, enjoy your guestlist places!

Dext37 Fielding 25-09-2010 15:47

Lucky Count!

Brilliant!

Line 25-09-2010 15:49

That's so kind of James. Why doesn't it surprise me that he has a really old phone? Enjoy your guestlist!

MSPKYE 25-09-2010 15:50

Aw how nice of Bradders

everlasting 25-09-2010 15:57

Haha that's a great little story mate :) I'd have died on the spot if I saw one of the Manics in person like that.
