As I recall I didn't recieve my last singles order from townsend until the following Wednesday. That's the postman's fault of course, not townsend.
Thought it might be wise to point that out now. Let the fun begin. |
If mines comes tomorrow, I will never dispute the phrase "the postman always delivers" again. Generally, the postman here swaps and changes every day and quite often mail goes missing.

My singles are here - thank you tiwnshend, blindingly efficient as always. Hope they pull it off next week too!
|
Pwetty, lucky, can't wait for mine, i might be more excited about b-sides than the album.
|
Mine should arrive on Monday as long as they send it to the correct address!

 Got mine too

My first play thoughts:
Distractions = Respectable b-side, decent solo eases it into the 'worth a second listen' camp. Ostpolitik = Another solid instrumental, more Sehnsucht than The Vorticists. No complaints from me on that front. Lost Voices = The most annoying kind of Manics song. One which is promising up until the end of the first chorus, at which point James loses interest and does exactly what you'd expect. Naturally, by the time you make it to the end of the third chorus you notice it's much the same as getting to the end of the first, only with quiet hope having been replaced by loud disillusionment in your head. A waste. I Know The Numbers - Yet to hear. I think I miss the hyphen in the single's title. As David Quantick said, it was a car crash of typography. Now it's just a boring minor shunt with unnecessary parentheses. |
Got my vinyl single :D
