Just listened to it for the first time, it's enjoyable enough, nothing mind blowing but it does what it says on the tin and is a nice pop album. Bit fillery on one or two tracks but nowhere near as bad as other album's filler tracks. Early favouritrs are SKON, the title track, and Golden Platitudes, Nicky's track isn't as offensive as it was when I heard it on the radio, James does save it a bit in the same way as he did with Wattsville Blues but yeah its alright! Although fuck you Nicky I've renamedthe '4 Ever' VIVA LA REVOLOUTION!!!

Listening to the normal version right now! :D
(Townsend copy of deluxe version arrived and got another one from HMV. Just in case like!) It's Not War great storming start to the album I feel. Love it. Postcards is fabulous. The 'I will not give up and I will not give in' bit is superb! Some Kind Of Nothingness - Just beautiful. Ian and James' voices go really well together. Gorgeous! :D Next tracks up shortly! |
