Will listen to the demos once I've finished putting the album to cassette! (Old skool me!)

I instantly thought of Echo & the Bunnymen.

Quality poster, I want it! I wonder what happens to such things when they're removed from shop windows, etc? I want it for my bedroom wall. It's good to see a big poster advertising the new album though! Might go into town tomorrow and see if there's one in the HMV window there, probably not though cos it's crap here in Wakefield.

Why does that HMV poster refer to them as The Manic Street Preachers?

hmm would of been a lot worse if they called the album "a postcard? from who?"

Listening to the demos now. James sounding fab!

he's got a habit of doing that to songs

So after listening a few times I thought I really didn't like this album all that much, that none of the songs stuck with me. Then the other day I threw it on in the car and blasted it as I was driving, and I'll be fucked but I really liked it. Was singing along with many of the songs, and had a grand old time listening to it. I definitely put this into the grower category now.

Archivesoftherevollover 20-09-2010 20:05

my controversial opinion on this album is that i like it :)

Hope he gets laryngitis for the next record!

Spent a good part of the morning in 'Do not disturb' mode submerged in Manics loveliness.

PFAYM and SKON along with GP, AI and TFHBH4E just get better with each listen.

Other highlights for me:
1. James's NUS card
2. Moore and Bradfield Piano Removers - are they available for hire???

everlasting 20-09-2010 20:08

I've been wondering, the main little tune to Hazelton Avenue, what is making the sound, is a guitar, or strings or keyboard? Or a mixture? I've seen some people saying the song is awful on here.....but I like it a lot.

Frozendiva 20-09-2010 20:08

Gutless, do consider that laryngitis may make him sound *better*.
