Stupidly excited about this. And a remix? Amazing. I wonder if they really regret Know Your Enemy. James must do if he spent serious effort remixing the album. Though he did say in recent interviews that he had lost a bit of inspiration since TUVL so maybe this is a way of filling that gap at the moment.

Rosebud is fine. As someone said above it sounds like a TIMT or KYE b-side. My only hot take from the song is that I think you can REALLY hear the difference in James' voice compared to recent times.

I really hope there is loads of dirty merchandise. But either way, it is LP and 3CD for me. And if there are gigs I will go. And if there is Intravenous Agnostic live then I don't know what I will do with myself.

Really delighted about this and the effort they are putting in. The height of my Manics fandom.

I am so confused but the track listings. It seems like the vinyl version and the CD version will have different takes of some of the same songs?

So I heard about the remix rather than remaster back in Feb and have been stupidly excited ever since. My love of KYE is no secret, obv. Also knew they were replacing SWSS, which I am less thrilled about tbh, but at least they've included the original!

Does feel a little confusing due to being on discs that needed to be filled.

The albums are the first 10 tracks of Disc 1 and the first 12 tracks of Disc 2. The rest is all extras, right?

That’s definitely how I read the info.

Essentially the LP tracklistings are the reimagined album(s).

chieftan mews 21-07-2022 16:51

This is all particularly sexy.

The TLA mix of FTS is the only mix of the song on the album - there doesn't appear to be a Dave Eringa mix meaning that the new mixes are going to sound totally different to what we might expect.

That’s a good idea. Exactly how it should be.

Exactly why the CD format is not fit for purpose any more. Just wish bands would put out ultra high quality digital releases that aren't constrained to a 74 minute disk.

Yeah I love CDs and still buy them but the 74 limit is obviously a pain. All it takes is to move a couple of songs! Or even throw in a 4th disk for a few more quid with some live songs included.

What an era this was though. So many gigs, so much coverage. Really warm summer. Loved it.

Tim Lord D'Alge I'm guessing?

I'll probably get the 3CD version. Might pick up the vinyl a month later for my birthday. Seems the vinyl doesn't have all the b-sides on, which is fair enough as can only cram on so many songs. Was kind of hoping for a dvd / blu ray but not to worry, or even a live CD of various things from that period but oh well.

FacelessSenseOfVoid 21-07-2022 18:01

I wonder if they would remix the whole of Lifeblood.....
