We'd never have got out! It was cause of Nile's talking we were so late getting in

Absolutely fantastic gig, what a man. Loved the reworkings and the curios. I hope if the Manics as a band ever decide to stop touring James just does whole tours like this.

To be honest I think he's trying such things out to confirm that those avenues exist. And seeing someone like Nile Rodgers able to do things just for fun 40-odd years later must be fairly inspiring too.

20 years time:

"An intimate evening with James Dean Bradfield."

Bradfield will play stripped backed versions of his most famous hits, and will share highlights from his 50 year career, including his top 10 chip shops, and the day Nicky Wire finally stopped blathering on about chart positions and his stupid, stupid degree.

I need a full video of the gig...... it's urgent...

Couldn't get any photos because we were sat right in front of a music stand :( Ah well, pair of us are gozzy anyway so it doesn't make much difference!

UEF 15-09-2014 13:49

Did anyone ask James about further gigs this year?

Mel1509 15-09-2014 14:52

Bugger, bugger, bugger. It's my birthday today and I hadn't looked at this thread beforehand. Been sat here wishing I was seeing them tonight and actually could have at least seen James last night?

Also, "Well, no, because we're meant to be getting a new tour in October, and almost certainly Holy Bible shows during/after that".

Is this true? They must be knackered after their own tour and all those festivals this year???
