Probably the worst song on the album but still a nice surprise.

I honestly love this song. What a thrill to hear it.

Love that in a gig with his last painting and the year of purification on, You Stole the Sun still hangs on, like a cockroach in a nuclear holocaust

Year of Purification sounds better than it did at the Coal Exchange all those years ago! Also I wouldn't be surprised if they announced the KYE during the gig, for release tomorrow in a KYE-esque bit of marketing! In fact it's more likely to be announced tomorrow instead.

I have no comment, other than to add that I appreciate these updates. Really glad you were lucky enough to get yourself a ticket.

Your Love Alone...

Time to drive to Leeds to see Sunflower Bean whilst listening to the rest...

It's being played on BBC6.

When Nicky said "This song was influenced by me" before YLAINE... Was it just me that thought we were going to get Wattsville Blues?

They literally picked one of the worst Manics songs ever, not just on KYE to play live! I give up! We're never going to hear Intravenous Agnostic live. The only explanation I can think of is that most of the older songs he just can't sing (or at least do justice to) now given his reduced vocal range in recent years.

Everything Must Go, thankfully, sounds as fantastic as ever - no sign at all of wear and tear to the vocals on this one. Which I'm very grateful for, such a belter of a song

Routine Builder 31-03-2022 18:38

That was a really great version of EMG.

Full band version of Blank Diary Entry!!!!!

Routine Builder 31-03-2022 18:41

Any bets for Royal Correspondent?

Bambi 31-03-2022 18:42

Popping in to say hello and see what you lovely people make of this live on t'radio thing. I think Blank Diary Entry has fallen a bit flat, and I like the song. Some slightly odd choices, but if I was in that room they could play Underdogs with a kazoo solo and I'd cheer!!

James said at the start they'd be doing two from KYE, so no, doubt it.

Routine Builder 31-03-2022 18:42

Wow, Nasymth's keyboards are actually sounding quite good.

I was trying to work out what was going on there!

Tolerate with extra guitar noodling!
