Similar to my first thought. To me it looks like James has just released a pent-up fart and Nicky is savouring it while Sean looks on in disgust.

there's an excellent Duran Duran song called Midnight Sun, on their magnificent, barely released anywhere Medazzaland album.

I have a vague memory of them saying they had recorded a Duran Duran cover, maybe in NME or something in 2002 or 2003. It could be that?

ah not a problem, yeah doesn't seem to have showed up but (maybe just through how often it's been on here) it does ring a bell, bside perhaps? Or maybe a catchphrase used by Nicky in an interview describing the Ballard influence on his lyrics (even though whats available seems quite hopeful)?
