I was going to go with constipated but yes, your interpretation is probably better for my brain anyway. :P

Similar to my first thought. To me it looks like James has just released a pent-up fart and Nicky is savouring it while Sean looks on in disgust.

I'm gonna post the almost clear Sean's vocal solo track in S&V in a minute :)

Oh wicked mate, look forward to that :) Thanks very much in advance!!! Probably become my favourite version of the song :D:D

Ah yeah, knew I was forgetting someone who I've listened to a lot of lately.

Do you think they're leaving us clues like The Beatles did when Paul died and this pic is alluding somehow to the line 'tiny massive hands'? And OMG they just played a gig with the fake Paul!

Sean also sings on Ocean Spray, just pull your headphones out slightly.

Maybe Empty Souls too??

Scarecrow 24-07-2010 21:24

Not forgetting the backing on SSI.

Wasn't there the song they "found" too? Midnight Sun I think. Hope that gets a release in some form.

there's an excellent Duran Duran song called Midnight Sun, on their magnificent, barely released anywhere Medazzaland album.

I have a vague memory of them saying they had recorded a Duran Duran cover, maybe in NME or something in 2002 or 2003. It could be that?

I'm not sure what to think of that picture tbh. I like the idea of the lyrics in the background, but Nicky looks added in afterwards and James looks like he's just suffered some deep, personal tragedy.

I spent ages staring at nicky trying to figure out what is wrong with him. What's with his hand?
then I saw James' face and burst out laughing.

Sci-fi Lullabies is their second best album in my opinion.

ah not a problem, yeah doesn't seem to have showed up but (maybe just through how often it's been on here) it does ring a bell, bside perhaps? Or maybe a catchphrase used by Nicky in an interview describing the Ballard influence on his lyrics (even though whats available seems quite hopeful)? Hah i know, scans like a Prince title, was wondering just today if Nick'd left that kind of thing in the past oddly enough. Apparantly not...
