Hello it’s us again
Or well, it will be soon
And yes we mean it too
Yes we will be with you soon

Hello it’s us again
Production issues reared their heads
But have another song instead
Enjoy it over The Weeknd!

We love the printers
They stick our records together

So can you hear us anymore

It won’t be long before a tour
Delayed release twice, kind of poor
Hello and isn’t vinyl dear?

Bravo - another Porco classic.

😄 I particularly like the last verse and fade out.

Aside from us lot here, I don't know anyone else who seems to realise or care that they have a new album soon, so I would suggest that any hype is very much restricted to the big fans who actively keep up to date with Manics news.

I even know some fans who occasionally express surprise that they're still together or touring!

Isn't that trip meant to happen tomorrow rather than today??

Oh bloody hell, got so excited I forgot which day it was!

I was so accustomed to the excellent People Ruin Paintings being as great as the Manics could get
But the intro to Brushstrokes Of Reunion is just... That's Truth beauty distilled and refined but given a stronger pulse. Ok. Four songs and I don't think they're just releasing the best songs from it. I really think it's that packed.
I know individual tracks chart lower on the charts when album released. Welcome to the future!
But do you think we'll get six singles? RiF has the record for single releases. Will CT_ have the high ground?

Just got an email from HMV about my preorder:

We’ve just been advised by the manufacturers that the release date for the above item has changed to 31/03/2025 and your order will therefore be processed and dispatched nearer to this date.

Is it end of March now? Or is this a HMV issue?

So far I've only got the 14th February email. If I get emailed later today it's gone to March I'll be back.
That's unfortunate email to get.

Hopefully HMV are wrong. I've seen a number of instances of HMV's website putting placeholder dates like 31st December for new items that don't have a confirmed release date.

TheUglyLie 29-01-2025 14:09

Doves album has been moved from Feb 14th to Feb 28th ;)

UEF 29-01-2025 16:31

Maybe HMV don’t appreciate being made to look absolute tits and have put a long lead time on it, making it easier to bring down rather than put up by a week at a time

That said, my HMV email, received at 10 am today, says 14th February

theplague 29-01-2025 20:33

Is it only me that’s not very impressed by the songs released so far?
I liked D&F first, but after like 8-10 listens it fell flat. The two other songs have no real strengths. Down the very bottom of the bands work.
It’s like they’ve given up or just can’t find that soul, urgency/magic or killer melodies/hooks any more.
So I hoooooooope the album is packed with great album tracks and that Brushstrokes of Reunion is really good.

I thought exactly the same. I was so disappointed with what i had heard. I just listened t the album all the way through, the singles sound better within the context of the album, its vibe / spirit. I feel james will be singing these songs solo as a wisen old man in the future. He will go on forever, i hope.

How did you hear the full album?

everlasting 29-01-2025 22:52

So been delayed to a week later, then to two weeks later, but HMV message me about the vinyl today saying bloody March! What a joke this has become.
