Divine Youth
Utterly beautiful song. The demo is equally heartbreaking too.

What is the song about in your opinion?

Nice interpretation.

Very ooberman.

I've only heard the snippets of this (and all the tracks really aside from the few played live and already released) ... it sounds incredible. Probably the track I am now most looking forward to hearing in full (full sound, production etc).... that said ... can't wait to get my hands on the whole album!

I hate her vocals, sorry. I feel like I'm being murdered by sugar n schmaltz every time I hear it.
|
Only the fucking Manics could pick the only singer harder to understand than James Dean Bradfield to sing alongside him.

I still struggle with JDB quite a lot, especially on TIMTTMY. |

The beginning sounds like an AIR tune. I wish they hadn't split the vocals, just one or the other would've made it better. James' voice dominants the female vocal.
|
It doesn't really sound like welsh to me, just quiet.
|
The demo is much nicer.

I can't get over how beautiful that moment is when James' voice sets in. And the lyrics of the chorus give me goosebumps each time.
Initially I didn't like Georgia Ruth's voice at all (I rarely like female vocals, to be honest), but after having listened to it about a thousand times I have to say I'm finding it increasingly charming. There are those moments when she does that "squeaky" thing with her voice, like the Cranberries' singer used to do, only less extreme... Like her voice is cracking. I don't quite know how to describe it, but anyway, it's beautiful. |
I actually like this, I heard about 30 seconds and reverted to the start of the album but I let it run second time around and it's beautiful, ironically some of these would have worked better on Rewind the Future.
