Exactly my thoughts... have they organised this so I can finally achieve my dream of going to every date on a Manics tour?

MSPKYE 25-10-2024 10:23

No mention of support yet, my dreams of them supporting themselves with solo material lives on…

Routine Builder 25-10-2024 11:38

Not sure what date I'll do. Can't do Bristol (closest ) as I may have a marathon the day after (not that one). Shepherds Bush is convenient and decent venue, Barrowlands is a great venue and great crowd usually, but Wolves Civic Hall I've heard good things about but haven't been to yet. Too bad Wales keeps getting shafted with arena and outdoor gigs, would love to go to a home gig with a decent sound system

LA ex 25-10-2024 12:23

I've not been to the Wolves Civic since it's major refurb so quite tempted to give a try. Pretty sure the Manics haven't played there since the reopening so will be interesting to see what they say about it seeing as they always used to rave about the old Civic.

everlasting 25-10-2024 16:15

Short tour... I might try for a Manchester date, maybe.

hummingbird 25-10-2024 19:30

Shepherds bush ? Thats a welcome surprise - will try for that and Manchester

rpmacmurphy 25-10-2024 19:34

Pre ordered the album so i get sent a link for the tour presale apparently - I'm working that day so possible difficulties but I can try to burrow myself away some place in time for when they go on sale ...

denton83 25-10-2024 19:41

London dates for me.

Europa Gluten Free 25-10-2024 20:37

BTW - you don't need to buy anything to get the pre-sale - just go to the store and click the link and it's there.

FacelessSenseOfVoid 26-10-2024 11:30

Very interesting that they're only doing Friday and Saturday dates. Wonder if they will add any others. I have no idea which dates if any I will be going to. I've been living in Sheffield a few months after RIF was released and since then it's been difficult to travel to gigs. May try for Wolves or Manchester.

ron the little seal 27-10-2024 17:07

Does anyone think they'll do an Irish date or extend the UK tour from previous album runs? I don't need to see them but god I'd love to hear Nicky sing live again

I went to the Civic for the first time post refurb to see Elvis Costello a couple of weeks ago. I saw Manics there on the JFPL tour and a few bands in the late seventies.

They have done a pretty good job on the refurb but it is now run by AEG so you get arena styling queuing and security outside the venue, and ruinous bar prices inside; £7.50 for a Moretti.

Hopefully being turned completely corporate hasn't affected the environment.

Saw the Manics there three times there in the late/mid 2000s including the JFPL show you mentioned. Those were the days when Manics fans turned up early to queue to get the barrier. Can't remember which show it was (probably the SATT one) where some fans brought down a table tennis table and played games whilst they were waiting!

I saw them there in 2005 and 2009 (plus 2011, 2014 and 2015), chances are we were at two of the same gigs at least, and they were incredible. They always shine in that venue.

Yep - did the 2007, 2009 and 2011 shows there. All were fantastic (not having seen them in the Richey era I'd consider the PPF to the SATT the best they performed live) - hopefully if I can get tickets for ti the Civic will inspire them again!

The prices are a bit steep !!!

Still I'm probably going to go for standing for two dates anyway

LA ex 29-10-2024 19:51

I got a code, if anyone wants it but doesn't have it you're going to have to play hangman for it!

Delta of Venus 29-10-2024 23:56

I pre-ordered but haven't had an email with a link to the presale. Someone shared the code on FB, but do I need a specific link to access the presale or will it just be on the official website?

The e-mail with the pre-sale code includes a link to https://tix.to/MSPpre No idea if other places will be available.

Good luck!

UEF 30-10-2024 09:22

Long-time standers - anyone tempted to go seated this time? The knees aren't what they were

LA ex 30-10-2024 09:30

Is anyone else getting access denied after the countdown is complete?

Marconi Delorian 30-10-2024 09:31

Hassle free! Almost £60 for SBE so sticking to one date and then maybe see if a last minute cheap one comes up for Bristol.

No, just refresh and in. Done.

Routine Builder 30-10-2024 09:32

I got through to Bristol and then none are available.....sigh....time for refreshing madness...

Repoman 30-10-2024 09:33

Painless. 2 standing tickets for Manchester on Friday.

Those tickets will be on sale for months.

*Found That Soul* 30-10-2024 09:35

Could only afford wolves gig at the minute but that was painless . Will try and get London & Bristol further down the line.

LA ex 30-10-2024 09:35

Seems to be weird with laptop and the VPN I'm using. But managed to get Manchester and Wolves tickets sorted hassle free on my phone :-)

Routine Builder 30-10-2024 09:38

I'll just til Friday, still not completely sure which gig I can/want to go to.

FacelessSenseOfVoid 30-10-2024 09:39

Very pissed off right now. Missed out on Wolves seating tickets (don't have the energy to stand any more) because my payment timed out and there's none left now.

Looks like I was the only unfortunate bugger.

EDIT: Tried again a few times and more tickets came on sale... very odd. Didn't use paypal this time but paid by card. Tickets secured and panic over.

blackflower 30-10-2024 09:42

I got Saturday at Shep Bush, but the Friday was sold out by the time I got to it, however O2 priority saved the day!

I've also decided to splurge on a weekend away in Swansea, got both gigs with no problem.

Happy days! Now to try and do some work

Routine Builder 30-10-2024 09:43

Circle tickets for Wolves are showing for me so just try refreshing every now and again.

Same here. Managed both nights at the O2 Shepherds Bush but no luck as yet for the Bristol Beacon gig.

napnet86_ 30-10-2024 09:52

Got both nights at the Barrowlands sorted nice and easy.

hummingbird 30-10-2024 09:52

so manchester was easy london less so - got seated for the second date but nowt for the first- i'll try again on the general sale - Shepherds bush is lovely but a total arse ache to get tickets for.

mightve got me a little wolves ticket too :D seated most definately seated - have crowds there calmed down yet ?

Punk Skins 30-10-2024 09:53

I have a weekend away in Swansea. It's the closest to Ireland and I had a paid work trip to Wales last year which I liked.

So I got a seat on Friday and a standing on Saturday. I would have preferred a seat on Saturday because my knees can play up sometimes, but maybe someone with a seat might swap with me closer to the date.
