01/02/2025 Kingston Pryzm (Critical Thinking album launch)
In!
|
Was on at 1 second past 11 and it sold out
|
Just about got in. Clicked on the option for just the ticket, which I added to my basket and then decided to try for the red vinyl and ticket instead but by the time I had clicked it, it had sold out!
Anyone know what the capacity of this will be? Not a lot by the sounds of it. 200/300? |
|
Last time they did this, it’s sold out similar and they split it into two shows on the same day. As long as people have a pound in their pockets, you can bet they’ll do the same.
|
I suspect two shows was the plan all along - let's face it, the demand is going to be there with the way Manics fans panic about ticket buying!
Also a shame that they didn't release the afternoon one today as well as I would have preferred that having to make the trek from the north - it will mean I may have to stay over the night, which is annoying and expensive. I'll try for afternoon tickets tomorrow and sell the evening one if I'm successful. |
On in time for the sale and sold out in instant
Gonna try tomorrow but not hopeful |
I wonder if this’ll be 2 of the same. The 2 Pryzm shows last time did have some differences

I completely forgot about the go-live time yesterday so missed out for the later show, but got one this morning for the afternoon show.
I went to both Przym shows last time - can't remember whether it sold out sooner back then, but it was still in Covid times I guess |
Managed to get a ticket for the 16:30 show. Great that they sold out so fast. Cant remember the TUVL shows being the same…
|
Wonder if this will be pushed back now the album is delayed?

Check with the venue. The show could actually be still valid. |

The fact that the shows are drawing near and no sign of the tickets is rather concerning 🤔😔 |

I went to a gig last year and my mate bought tickets that only activated if you were 50 metres from the venue less than an hour before doors opened. You can imagine the nerves about the app working as intended and being frozen out of the gig!

Can some kind Manics fan please record this show on their phone next weekend? I really do wish I was going.
|
I'm planning to vlog both gigs if all goes to plan - not the full shows but will take as many snippets as I can!
|
Do we know if it's a full band electric performance, or just JDB acoustic like last time?

Has anyone received tickets yet? Tomorrow?
|
Received my Early Show ticket via email 20 minutes ago
|
Early show tickets arrived a short while ago
I have a spare if anyone is interested PM me if you are in need xx |
Well have a good one whoever's going tonight. Don't make eye contact or hug James!
|
Won't be able to go now because of dodgy trains and I couldn't justify a 7/8 hour round trip by car, so I've had to let go of my tickets. Absolutely gutted and I know I'll regret it but I hope everyone has fun tonight.
|
First gig down! Enola Alone to start. She is Suffering and Peeled Apples. Decline, HIPS and Paintings from the new album. Tristesse too! and Motown!
Queuing for gig two now, I’ll be perfectly happy with the same set list again! |
Glad I didn't go now. Just three new songs for an album launch gig! I'd have been annoyed if I spent four hours driving there and got that setlist!
|
Fantastic show !!
I'm off home for a night in with dvds and scotch |
Maybe they would have done more new songs if the album hadn’t been delayed? It did feel more like a normal gig than an album launch. But bloody brilliant all the same. The crowd were well up for it!
Freezing a little bit now. Hope they let us in again soon! |

BTW it was much busier than the TUVL album launch I went to…
|
For an album launch show there's not much new album... a few pleasant surprise appearances on the set list - although (if setlist.fm is correct) no You Love Us in the set must be the first in a very, very long time!
|
Have to say I'm impressed at Peeled Apples and She Is Suffering in the setlist. Aside from the Bible anniversary gigs I've not seen SIS live very often, and Peeled Apples is an absolute barnstormer of a song and one of their finest openers.
The lack of other new songs is curious, wonder if it was down to the album delay or something else entirely, could be a number of reasons. |
BoR and Dear Stephen/Steven (heard about this via text so not 100% confirmed) played at the evening gig. Now I would have loved to have heard those two if they were both played. And BOR definitely was (and sounded better than the recording).
