Worst Manics lyric

The Manics have some great lyrics, but what would you say was their worst lyric? I have to say, PCP: "pass the Prozac / designer amnesiac". There's just so much wrong with it. Had it been "pass the Xanax", it at least would have made factual sense, but it still would've been an obnoxious tub-thump against Big Pharma. But "pass the Prozac"...

"So God is dead, like Nietzsche said".

At the moment everyone's favourite line from TVFSH is sticking with me, "the misguided tweets, the sad facebooking", ugh.

"Have you heard of Matthew Maynard
He's my favourite cricketer
I would rather watch him play than pick up my guitar"

Funny, this is one of my favourites (actually because it's from one of my favourite songs, and the song that talks about me more than any other) :)

"European dreams, European screams"

This one always makes me laugh, such a daft line.

I actually really don't mind that line, in fact I quite like it, I don't think there's anything wrong with saying that rather than spending every waking moment trying to improve your Angry Birds score and posting things like 'beans for tea lol' you should go out, look around and find the beauty of the world around you. Adam Ant did a similar anti internet rant on his last album, brilliant song too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNoU3MDMsvo but there wasn't a murmer about the lyrics on his forum, maybe it's an age thing.

Is he constantly on twitter? Because the guy who wrote the Manics lyric is...

Hahaha! True but I think the message is don't let it become your entire life, of course it's a useful tool, but it is all consuming for some people too.

It's not the concept I find embarrassing, just the wording. There is something about the use of "tweets" and especially "facebooking" in a lyric that really irks me. It's like it already sounds dated.

In before S.Y.M.M.

Not a big fan of "the misguided tweets, the sad facebooking" but it sounds kinda hilarious.

any line you care to randomly select off of Engage With Your Shadow or Autumnsong. with particular emphasis on "bluetooth zone"

as for their hatred of all things internet, well, would take it a bit more seriously if they did not make their singles all internet downloads only.

I can't give an example of a bad lyric at the moment, but if I can complain, I'd prefer they were less repetitive. Sometimes it feels like some lyrics have been recycled.
