Exactly my thoughts... have they organised this so I can finally achieve my dream of going to every date on a Manics tour?

MSPKYE 25-10-2024 10:23

No mention of support yet, my dreams of them supporting themselves with solo material lives on…

Not sure what date I'll do. Can't do Bristol (closest ) as I may have a marathon the day after (not that one). Shepherds Bush is convenient and decent venue, Barrowlands is a great venue and great crowd usually, but Wolves Civic Hall I've heard good things about but haven't been to yet. Too bad Wales keeps getting shafted with arena and outdoor gigs, would love to go to a home gig with a decent sound system

I've not been to the Wolves Civic since it's major refurb so quite tempted to give a try. Pretty sure the Manics haven't played there since the reopening so will be interesting to see what they say about it seeing as they always used to rave about the old Civic.

Short tour... I might try for a Manchester date, maybe.

Shepherds bush ? Thats a welcome surprise - will try for that and Manchester

rpmacmurphy 25-10-2024 19:34

Pre ordered the album so i get sent a link for the tour presale apparently - I'm working that day so possible difficulties but I can try to burrow myself away some place in time for when they go on sale ...

denton83 25-10-2024 19:41

London dates for me.

Europa Gluten Free 25-10-2024 20:37

BTW - you don't need to buy anything to get the pre-sale - just go to the store and click the link and it's there.

Very interesting that they're only doing Friday and Saturday dates. Wonder if they will add any others. I have no idea which dates if any I will be going to. I've been living in Sheffield a few months after RIF was released and since then it's been difficult to travel to gigs. May try for Wolves or Manchester.

Does anyone think they'll do an Irish date or extend the UK tour from previous album runs? I don't need to see them but god I'd love to hear Nicky sing live again

I went to the Civic for the first time post refurb to see Elvis Costello a couple of weeks ago. I saw Manics there on the JFPL tour and a few bands in the late seventies.

They have done a pretty good job on the refurb but it is now run by AEG so you get arena styling queuing and security outside the venue, and ruinous bar prices inside; £7.50 for a Moretti.

Hopefully being turned completely corporate hasn't affected the environment.

Saw the Manics there three times there in the late/mid 2000s including the JFPL show you mentioned. Those were the days when Manics fans turned up early to queue to get the barrier. Can't remember which show it was (probably the SATT one) where some fans brought down a table tennis table and played games whilst they were waiting!
