the music in the verses is the same, note by note (the chorus is different though).
Anyway, I like this album. It's less daring than IKTZ (given the Manics discography at that moment) but I like it. And in both albums my favourite track is the last one, which in both cases is about "fading". But Everything Fades was the most depressing song ever, while As The Light Fades Away is quite uplifting.
