Good to see there's a tribute still going!
I went to see a band called (I think) the Manic Street Cheaters in a pub in York in 2003/4. I was the only one in the audience except for a couple of regulars and the band's families. From memory 'James' looked a bit like Morrissey and kept stopping his guitaring to flip the pages of a little lyric book strapped to the mic stand. 'Nicky' had a shiner and a cut above his eyebrow suggesting he'd had a recent row with someone...
More unnerving was a guy who seemed to be their manager, who came around with a pint mug to collect the money for the gig. He was the absolute spitting image of GATS-era Richey with the hair and a black leather jacket. Always thought it'd be ironic if he disappeared only to manage a tribute of his former band ("they'll never think to look for me here...")
