Nah, artists whose career started before the 2010s seem to still be in the market for compilations, it's just more recent acts who don't bother.
I think I've mentioned it before, but having had a 'hits' compilation and a 'singles' one, we need the artist-curated 'career defining' set, a la Suede's Best Of and Blur's Parklife. Get the three of them together to have an enormous row for a fortnight and try and knock out a selection of tracks which best defines their history - the Heavenly tracks, some of the big singles, a bunch of album tracks and a few b-sides. More content from the less commercial albums but also their favourite hits.
