Could PFAYM Win A BRIT?

So do you think PFAYM can get a Brit Award next year?
I think it might get the sticky labels, but I'd be suprised if it was the winning album.
Or is it of course, far too early to tell and this might jinx it?

No, for the usual reasons. They're old and the album sounds older.

nope, sadly. the Brits have never been about quality, the award winners are those who generate loads of cash for the industry. the Manics, sadly, don't do that.

whatever the hell the reformed Take That release later this year will sell by the shedload. bar one of the old favourites dying and selling even more records, there's your winner right there.

Apart from 1997 and 1999 then when the manics sold shed loads of records and won 4 Brit Awards. I guess you're too young to remember that.

Can't see em getting a nomination at all, really. The best live act category is probably their best chance, but if they get nominated for that it'll probably be for the same stuff they got nominated for last time, rather than based on PFAYM.

I thought Muse more or less owned the live category? Or is that the MTV equivalent? The Manics certainly deserve a nomination for best live band at least, not that it would probably happen. Some horse shit like Mumford And Sons will probably win it even if the manics did get a nomination, which would make it harder to take.

As already stated the Brit winners are usually made up of relatively young people who make the most money that year for the industry.

The Manics only hope at getting a nomination would be if Some Kind Of Nothingness became a reasonably big hit.

Oh yeah, they'll probably win it. Maybe Manics might get the last nomination, they're doing loads of gigs and not relying on space ships and stuff.

The Brits have a lifetime recognition type award don't they? Maybe they're in for an outside chance of something like that? Nah, I'm probably just being optimistic. Why am I being optimistic? What do I care...

No. It's a bad album, it shouldn't win anything. JFPL should have!

How about..

No, and the only Brit they ever stand a chance of winning is the lifetime achievement award in about five to ten years' time, when they have another surprise hit album.

When (if) this happens, instead of playing the usual medley of hits at the end they should play a medley of Patrick Bateman, The Intense Humming Of Evil, Stay Beautiful and Williams Last Words.

In fact, there's more chance of that happening than there is of them winning a Brit this year.

Not a hope in hell (unfortunately)
Although I'm struggling to think of who stands out this year.

A big hit off this album and they would probably have a small chance at the lifetime achievement, depending on who else is being considered

Not that it would ever happen, but how hilarious would it be, if they came out and played a medley of just THB tracks

It'd have to be a full version of Patrick Bateman, surely?
