The BEST James Vocal?
To balance out the shui of this forum, what would you say was the best James vocal?
Please try to narrow it down to just one! Archives Of Pain. That's the first thing I think of. He puts the effort in when so many bands (and in particular the people I've jammed with) would have gone "Nah... let's do a funny song instead!" |

Door To The River
I discovered this song whilst coming back from Leeds, in train, it was evening, it felt like a very special moment, half asleep half aware of what's happening, and nothing was really happening, just the fields and forests and houses behind the train window.

Kind of hard to narrow it down to just one but if I had to pick one it would have to be from their most underrated album. 'Empty Souls' is Just such a great track.

Most of the tracks on This is My Truth and Lifeblood have James in good vocal, prefer his mellow voice to his shouty.

Too hard to pick just one! Agree with Sue about Truth and Lifeblood! And then there are the gems like 1404, Too Cold Here, Sepia etc etc. He's my fave singer ever so I've always been happy with his output!

I was listening to it today and I agree that it sounds great vocally. There's a lot of great harmonies and backing vocals on it too, something I don't think he focuses on as much in the Manics.

Would have to agree with Deets - Door to the River - such a gem of a song.
When JDB sings "Sunbreaks and Cloudbursts" I get chills |

I'd be here all night if I typed up all my fave JDB vocal moments!
