Different track order for THB?

I just stumbled across this promo postcard on Ebay which I never saw before. It's a THB advert which uses a completely different track order and sometimes even song titles are not the same that are featured on the album.

See for yourselves:

Tracklist according to this postcard:

01. Yes
02. The Intense Humming Of Evil
03. Walking Abortions
04. She Is Suffering
05. 4 ST 7LBS
06. Die In The Summertime
07. Mausoleum
08. Ifwhiteamericatoldthetruthforonedayit'scountrywoul dfallapart
09. P.C.P.
10. Revol
11. Faster
12. Archives Of Pain
13. This Is Yesterday

The postcard refers to the original catalogue numbers, 477421 1-4-2, 1 being the LP release no one ever seen, 4 the MC and 2 the CD release.

It's really interesting because none of the advance tapes I'm aware of used this running order, all of them has the same that we all know from the released album.

Any opinions? IMHO This track order is really challenging, TIHOE as a second track, TIY as album closer, I wonder on what production stage they provided this tracklisting to Sony...

That's a cool find, mate. Think I'll try listening to the album in that order. I can totally see how "This Is Yesterday" would work very well as an album closer.

This Is Yesterday should definitely have closed but with TIHOE before. Interesting.

Nooooo, PCP after TIHOE is perfect in the way that the album slowly drags you down into that slow, haunting track and then throws you straight back up again with PCP. Leaves you wanting more. Putting TIY at the end instead would leave you on a low, not with the odd urge to listen to the whole thing again...

I'm not overkeen on the sound of that order, but I'll try it. You never know...

TIHOE after Yes? That's rubbish. Love how fast the album starts off.

Agreed. If it were me I'd start with Faster.

That would be pretty ace, though they got the tracklisting right in my opinion.

I remember hearing about a few alternative tracklistings for THB a while back. I think it's perfect the way it is though.

Which are these? I love this kind of alt-tracklisting stuff.

That's really cool! Did you buy the postcard or just use the image from the listing?

How weird. I'll also try to listen to it in that order. I'll try.

You know what? I quite like it! Gives the album a different atmosphere, sure, but also adds extra dimension to it. I'd certainly recommend everybody gives it a go.
