I know we're all very hyped up about the upcoming album but does anyone knows when the Manics documentary be released on DVD? Also, is there any website, media etc reviewed on the doucmentary?

you reckon they'll get some JFPL studio/tour footage, chuck it together with some of them recording the next album proper then release it around mid to late 2010?
one helluvan editing job there though.
its a shame that it may never see the light of day.

They could do that. Then they could go back and record MORE new footage for the next record that's supposedly out in early 2010. And then keep going around in circles until the Manics split up.

Sadly, it looks like they're simply never going to get the green light from a distributor.

Apparently they said they were going to release it this year but not at the same time as JFPL though. I hope we get to see it soon, it's nearly three years since I was interviewed and I was hoping to see it within under a year of that from what I was told.

Well i saw the a work print of the film at Doc/Fest last year and it looked near completion, still had a bit of work to be done. The exclusive footage in it is mainly from PPF tour to SATT with a lot of footage of the band recording that album. A lot of great moments, You get to hear James singing 'Ruins of Spring', i think it was called, which was left off SATT.

I can't wait to see this again, it is truely excellent.

If you look at their website it's update!!!!!!!!!!!! - now there's nothing there to read or see, although there is a nice poster on the homepage with film credits on the bottom...does this mean it's nearly done???
