Empty Motorcade
"Enola Gay" by way of Panic Dizzy. Another great tune. I'd definitely slip this on to the album somewhere.

Sean's influence can be heard here. If the others are 80s styled, this one is very much early 90s, Amiga video game music styled! Love it. One of the best songs, why it wasn't on the album is a mystery. Great chorus as well.

That's a very good song and I can't believe they didn't put it on the album. What a pity!

To ask the obvious question - is anything about it a reference to any other songs about motory, empty things?
I did note the line about (Digital) Terrorists on there too...

I reckon you could swap this with WMTTB on the album pretty easily.

I am riding with the empty motorcade,
All the politicians have left the stage, This spectre of the high street fed ghosts comes returned, (?) The out of time cathedrals suffocate and control. We were young, and yet we were old, We were bought, and yet we were sold, We were body, and yet we were soul, We were rust and yet we were gold. I am riding with the empty motorcade, Digital terrorists will remember these days, My eyes can't look into yours anymore, They are too scared to see what they once saw. We were young, and yet we were old, We were bought, and yet we were sold, We were body, and yet we were soul, We were rust and yet we were gold. We were young, and yet we were old, We were bought, and yet we were sold, We were body, and yet we were soul, We were rust and yet we were gold.

This one is about when Nicky went to various charity shops and saw loads of orphaned copies of This Is My Truth on the shelves.

Still loving this song, can't get enough of it. Some interesting chord changes as well, after having worked it out on the guitar. Having this on the album would have been a no brainer, but why they chose songs like SPLAM and Divine Youth over this is a mystery.

Just going to bump this thread so all the people who get their deluxe editions can easily find the thread to rave about how great this song is.
