Never been to city hall before despite living in the north east all my life.. does anyone know roughly what time gigs usually finish there? Got a train to catch, otherwise I’ll be sleeping on a bench at Central until 6am

I assume it will be the same as any other Manics gig, so they'll finish about 10.45.

Why do Manics gigs in Newcastle always seem to have loads of tickets left for sale?
Shame to kick off the tour in a less than full room. |

Newcastle is my local gig, but I didn't get tickets as gigs in the town are pretty rubbish these days, crowds are terrible.Had too many experiences of seeing the band in the town with most of the crowd talking over them.
As it turns out just as well, as I'm having surgery on Monday (unless it's cancelled again!) so would not have been able to go. Will be focusing on recovering in time to get to the York & Leeds gigs the following week (well if there is any petrol left by then.....).

Hope everyone has a great time tonight! Very interested to see if there are many (or indeed any) set list changes from Cardiff.

Enjoy tonight everyone going. I'm going to try and stay spoiler free ahead of seeing them on Saturday...

If anyone in the venue already happens to see this and would like to post stage times, that would be very much appreciated! City Hall are neglecting to respond to anyone's enquiries.
Edit: Looks like they'll be on at 9pm, in case it's useful to anyone going to one of the other gigs! Last edited by comradestripe; 26-09-2021 at 19:58. |

Unfortunately TUVL-era JDB wasn’t able to make it tonight so JFPL-era JDB is standing in for him.

Crap timing for the FD twitter feed to take a break.
Seen two clips online tonight of Robeson and Sweet Child. They also soundchecked Still Snowing… earlier but no setlist updates at all. |

Still Snowing and Stay Beautiful acoustic have been played but otherwise similar to the Cardiff gigs.
