Funeral In Berlin

This is possibly only of interest to completists, obscurantists, obsessives and fellow sufferers. A video has appeared on the Youtubes of the early Manics' hometown nemesis and (negative) inspiration, Blackwood's mid-80s heroes Funeral In Berlin.

George Dawes drums to boot. Having whetted the forum's appetite, I ought to offer a taste of what happened when the 'Bin became the 'Bags. </provincial>

Oh yeah. I always get mixed up with these guys and That Petrol Emotion. FIB were around at the same time as the Manics where as TPE were a band that they went to see when they were young, I think?

I dunno. that recording doesn't sound that much worse to some of the manics early demos. Just the manics had more potential maybe.

I was expecting this to be a topic about a new unearthed song from the Cities album .

The vocals are a bit iffy, but I actually quite like this. That guitar tone is awesome, really raw. A shame they never managed to get anything properly recorded.
