Door to the River (a random appreciation topic)
Okay so it's always been pretty obvious that it's a fantastic song with a fantastic set of lyrics, but as it just came up in my playlist and I hadn't heard the song in a fair while before right now again, I can't help but once again realise how utterly, utterly blissfully perfect, powerful and soul-shakingly gorgeous this song is in every single freaking way. The vocals, the strings, the keyboards, the lyrics, oh lord.
And then the band dumps it to a compilation and therefore guarantees they'll never ever play it again. Bastards. Needs more love right now. Also amazing live.

A great song - I remember how excited I was to get the full version after hearing a snippet of it before the album came out. One of their most majestic choruses I think.

It would have made a good stand alone single, but that's from memory?...
It's been a while since I've heard it to be honest. I'll hear it and come back to this thread. |

This. Forever Delayed grew on me, Door to the River never did.

It's far superior to Grace of God, but I'd lie if I said that I listen to it very often. Nice song.

There By The Grace Of God is way better; in fact it's probably in my Top 10 MSP songs.
