What choo talkin' 'bout, Wire?

http://www.xfm.co.uk/news/2010/nicky...rolling-stones

Quote:
“Touring is getting slightly problematic due to the set-list”, he said. “We literally have so many songs, we’re like the indie Rolling Stones. The set-list gets longer, the choice of songs get harder."
...So you just resort to trotting out the same set list over and over again then?

Bless him.

This has probably already been mentioned, but what cha gonna do?

Lol, well it's not that hard when you only recycle a small number of the songs!

I still think they got the right idea with JFPL tour - play the new album in it's entirety, short break and then a greatest hits set. Would love to see them do this again with PFAYM.

I wouldn't, I found the predictability of the first set and the sedate predictability of the second set boring

You know what? If I go to a gig, I consider myself lucky just to have the privilage of seeing and hearing one of my favourite bands of all time performing songs that are so important to me personally.

Hear hear, I'd love some rarities but their greatest hits are their greatest hits, they're pretty awesome.

I'm sure those who have seen them lots disagree

When they play the songs of theirs that are important to me personally I feel the same. Shame they're so few and far-between, and that songs which used to mean something to me have been so massively over-played that seeing them live now is more boring than exciting.

But they do still come out with a few great things per gig and for the general ambience and banter it's worth the asking price.

Give yourself a bloody great big pat on the back, old pal!

I like to listen to good songs when I've paid £30 for the privilage (sic)

I still love seeing them live, and have massive respect for them because they DO play their greatest hits, they're not one of those bands that just goes out to play their new album and doesn't give a toss if people are disappointed or not. I have never come away and thought 'that was a bad gig'... maybe some of you need to see them less to appreciate them more again?

I think that's a fair point, but even so, you've got to admit his comment is laughable.
