Books based on the Manics?

Sorry if there's another thread that answers this, I wasn't sure how to find it.

I know there are several fictional books out there where the characters are based on Richey or the Manics or were influenced by them and I was wondering what the titles of these were? I'd be quite interested in reading them.

I remember one being mentioned where the main character thought in song lyrics or something.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I think the one you're talking about is Richard by Ben Myers. I never got round to finishing it so I can't really say if it was good or bad, but here it is: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Richard-Ben-Myers/dp/0330517031

Thank you, but that wasn't the one I meant

I've heard about books that aren't directly about the Manics, but the characters bare a resemblance.

Like there's one about a girl who is a fan of the Manics and then her boyfriend goes missing like Richey or something? Something like that, although I may have made that up

I think I may have found it - I searched for Rock and Roll Suicide, and under the 'other people also bought' bit on Amazon, it suggests Thin Air by Storm Constantine.

There might be another one that is similar to that though, idk.

Thank you!

Any Manics related fiction (however loosely connected) would be good for me!

Ah right, sorry about that then. Afraid I'm not too clued up on Manics based novels either.

Isn't there one called Rock and Roll Suicide that has a character similar to Richey? Also, a book by Joel Lane - forget the title - that has a Richey-ish character.

The main character is a fictional rock star who mainly thinks in Manics lyrics.

There's that guy Paul Outhwaite who wrote The Preachers on Manic Street too.

That's alright! Thank you for trying to help!

I'm sure I've seen a few mentioned on this site, but I can't find where I saw them.

There was also an autobiography mentioned by a woman who used to hang out with the manics and slept with James and/or Richey? And one of them is written about (unnamed) in the autobiography but I can't remember where I read that so I can't find her name anywhere although I was interested in reading that extract.
