Manics view on live concert taping / recording
Hello,
I don't know if this is the correct section of the forum. Sorry if it isn't! I was wondering if the Manic Street Preachers allow fans to make recordings at their concerts (audio or video). I googled and asked James and Nicky about this on their twitter accounts but so far I don't have te answer. Some bands allow fans to make audio recordings for personal use. Pearl Jam is doing this at the moment and also NIN allowed audio and video recording on their last tour. What's the band point of view about live recordings? |

Unfortunately they don't reply to tweets on the band account as Nicky tweets from a phone (it says sent by text under all his tweets) so you'll be lucky to get a response :/

Every Manics gig I've been to people were taking video recordings on their phones/cameras (myself included) and no one said anything. I thought it would be okay if it was just for personal use and you weren't planning to sell a recording for profit.

I don't think they either allow or don't allow it.
